Completion of the Domain Name Transfer - Your Tasks

Step 3: After you won one of Bizgenie’s domain name auctions or purchased a domain name directly from Bizgenie, you first paid us by Paypal, confirmed you have a domain name account with our domain name registrar and then sent us your full contact information (see Auction Instructions). Once we receive payment and the contact information we will initiate the domain name transfer process on ourr end, usually within 4 to 8 hours — often within 2 hours. Our promise is to initiate the transfer within 24 hours of receiving all items needed for the transfer process from you.

Once we initiate the transfer process you will receive a very important email from the registrar. If the domain name is registered with Godaddy.com, the email will come from Godaddy. If it is registered with CostCutterDomains.com, the email will come from support@secureserver.net.

The contents of this email are very important. The email will contain a Transaction ID and a Security Code, along with a url address to log back into your domain name account with the registrar. Most importantly, it will contain instructions on what you need to do (upon login with the registrar) to finalize the transfer process and movement of the domain name over into your domain name account. Read the auction to determine which domain name registrar the domain name you purchased is registered with by us. It will either be Godaddy.com or CostCutterDomains.com. Before we can transfer the domain name to you, it is essential that you have a free domain name account with the registrar. Thus, the second thing you need to do is ensure you have a domain name account with the registrar where the domain name is registered. This is the only way we can provide free transfer of the domain name to you. If you don’t have a domain name account with the registar, please visit them now. It only takes 5 minutes to set up your account and it is free.

You will note in the email you received from Bizgenie (via Ebay) after the auction closed that we request the specific contact data we require before initiating the domain name transfer.
